# Statements and payouts > How monthly statements and commission lines work, when a line becomes payable, how a payout is issued by hand today, and what the portal does not show. Source: https://support.billingmart.com/partner-program/statements-and-payouts Updated: 2026-10-17 · Applies to: Web · Section: Partner program Every payment that earns you commission becomes a commission line. Lines are gathered into one statement per calendar month. A line waits through a hold, then becomes payable, and a person at BillingMart issues a payout for the payable lines. Nothing pays out automatically today. ## Statements A statement covers one calendar month, counted in UTC. It closes on the 1st of the next month. Your first statement closes after the month of your first commission. When one closes you get an email that it is ready. Open **Statements**, then a month, to see its lines. Each line shows **Paid on**, **Source**, **Base**, **Rate**, **Commission**, **Status** and **Payable from**. A line's status is one of: | Status | Meaning | | --- | --- | | **Pending** | Still inside the hold. | | **Payable** | Past the hold and ready for a payout. | | **Paid** | Included in a payout. | | **Reversed** | Taken back, for example after a refund. | | **Forfeited** | Not paid because the account ended for cause. | | **Skipped** | Recorded but never payable, for example while suspended. | The list of statements shows each month's totals as they were on the day it closed. Those totals are written once. Open a month and the four cards show where its lines stand now, with the total at close beneath each one. The table of lines is always current. Each closed statement has a **Dispute by** date. If a line looks wrong, write to partners@billingmart.com with the line id before that date. After it, the statement is final. A line created after its month closed appears on the next statement. **Download PDF** appears on a closed statement. It opens the PDF in a new tab through a short-lived link. If no PDF was made for that month, the portal says it is not available yet. The lines on the page are the record either way. ## When a line becomes payable The hold is a program setting. The **Payable from** column gives the exact date for each line, and the **Dashboard** shows your next payable date and the payout minimum. A refund of the customer's payment reverses your commission in the same proportion, as a separate negative line. A dispute that is lost reverses it in full. A dispute that is merely open does not reverse anything yet. If your balance goes negative, it carries forward. ## How a payout happens BillingMart issues payouts after a month closes, once your payable balance reaches the program minimum. A person at BillingMart issues each one. The minimum can be waived by that person. The amount is always the sum of the payable lines, never a number anyone types in. A payout needs a W-9 and a payout method on file. You pick the method in **Settings** or onboarding: - **Bank transfer through Stripe.** You leave for Stripe to give your bank and tax details, then return. The portal asks Stripe whether payouts are enabled. If it says Stripe payouts are not available yet, choose another method. - **Bank account (ACH).** You enter routing and account numbers. The account number is stored encrypted and only the last four digits are shown again. The payment is sent by hand. - **Mailed check.** It goes to the mailing address on file. Keep it current. When a payout is issued you get an email, and it appears under **Payouts** with its issue date, method, reference, amount and status (**Initiated**, **Settled**, **Failed** or **Voided**). **Settled** means the payout is recorded as complete, and the **Settled** column then shows a date. A payout that is still **Initiated** has no date there. ## What the portal does not show - Which lines a payout covered. The mail says the lines are in the portal, but the **Payouts** screen lists none. The **Payouts** report in **Reports** gives only the number of lines. - A payout column on the lines report. ## Reports **Reports** downloads CSV files of your commission lines, referred workspaces and payouts. A long report is cut into parts, and the screen offers the next part.
