Your trial and the free plan
A new workspace starts with a trial of the full product. What the banner shows, what happens when it ends, and what stays yours on the free plan.
A new workspace starts with a time-limited trial of the full product. When it ends, nothing is deleted. Your workspace keeps exactly what the plan you are on includes. If you have not bought a plan, that is the free plan. For what each plan includes, see the pricing page on billingmart.com.
What the trial is
- It gives you everything in the highest plan we offer, for a set time.
- You get one trial per account. A sandbox has none.
- It starts when the workspace is created.
- If you see no trial banner in a new workspace, there is no trial on it, and you are on the free plan from the start.
Where you see it
The console shows a banner on every page while the trial runs, with the days left and the date it ends. Days are counted in your workspace's time zone. See the plans opens the plans page. After the trial ends, a banner says Your trial has ended for a while. We also email the workspace owners before the trial ends and when it has ended.
On the iPhone and Android apps the same banner shows on the owner's screens. The owner gets a button to see the plans. Anyone else is told to ask their owner.
What happens when it ends
Nothing you made is locked or deleted. Every invoice you sent can still be paid. Drafts still save. Estimates still go out. Payments still record.
What changes is anything the plan you land on does not include:
| Area | When the plan does not include it |
|---|---|
| Invoice sends | If you have already sent more this month than the plan allows, new invoice sends wait until next month begins, or until you move to a plan with more |
| API keys | Paused, not deleted. They work again after you move to a plan that includes them |
| Webhooks | Delivery pauses. Your endpoints and history are kept. Events that happen while it is paused are not queued |
| Auto | Requests that your Auto rules would have approved wait for a person to approve them |
| Businesses and team members | Existing ones stay. Only new ones beyond the plan's limit are refused |
Features that are in your plan do not change.
Note: A paused API key or webhook is a plan limit, not a fault. If your integration stops the day the trial ends, check your plan first.
The free plan
The free plan costs nothing. What it includes, and its limits, are on the pricing page on billingmart.com. Plan & usage in the left menu shows your plan, how many sends you have left this month, and what a larger plan adds. The month follows your workspace time zone.
When you reach the sending limit, only new invoice sends stop. Everything already sent stays live and payable. The message names the date sends resume and offers a plan with more.
Move to a paid plan
Only the workspace owner can buy a plan. The owner opens Plan & usage, then the upgrade page, picks a plan and pays. Anyone else sees who the owner is.
