How the partner program works
The steps from applying to being paid, what earns commission, what the partner portal shows, and which parts do not work yet.
The partner program lets you refer businesses to BillingMart and earn commission on what they pay for their plan. You work in the partner portal at partner.billingmart.com. This page walks through the whole path in the order you meet it, and says plainly what is not finished. The partner agreement has the binding terms. This page does not restate them.
Join the program
- Open the apply page in the portal (the Apply to the program link) and fill in the form, then select Send application. You normally get a confirmation email.
- BillingMart reviews every application by hand. An approval sends an email with a link to activate your partner account. A decision to decline is not always followed by a message.
- Open the link, sign in with the same email address and confirm that address if you are asked to. A link that has expired or been used is refused, and the refusal does not say which.
- Finish the four onboarding steps: Security, Agreement, Tax (W-9) and Payout. Until they are done, the rest of the portal stays closed.
The application form does not ask for a country, and it does not check one. Eligibility is reviewed by a person, and the W-9 step asks you to certify your status.
What earns commission
Commission is calculated on the plan payments of workspaces attributed to you. A workspace is attributed to you when its owner signs up through your link, or when you registered that person's email as a referral first. See Your referral link and who gets credit.
A payment earns nothing when:
- it was made in test mode, in a sandbox workspace, or for a zero amount;
- the workspace is not attributed to you;
- your account is suspended (the portal shows a line marked skipped) or is no longer active;
- it falls outside the term set on your account.
Plan payments are counted. Other purchases, such as AI credit packs or anything bought in the App Store or Google Play, are not.
The rate and the term are set on your account by BillingMart. You see them in Settings under Commission rate and Term. The rate applies when each payment is received, so a change affects later payments from workspaces you referred earlier too. After a change you are asked to read and sign the agreement again. Lines already created keep the rate they were made at.
What you see in the portal
| Screen | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Pending, payable and paid balances, referred workspaces, and your sign-up link |
| Referrals | People you registered, their status, and Add a referral |
| Referred workspaces | Each workspace attributed to you, with its plan, billing status and the commission it has earned you so far |
| Links & assets | Your short link, direct link, QR code, campaign links and partner code |
| Statements | One statement a month, with every commission line |
| Payouts | Each payout issued to you |
| Reports | CSV downloads of lines, workspaces and payouts |
| Settings | Profile, security, agreement, W-9, payout method and API keys |
For a referred workspace the portal shows its name, plan, billing status and the commission it has earned you so far. The individual lines are in your statements. It never shows that workspace's invoices, customers or card details.
What is not available yet
- Paid on a schedule. Payouts are issued by a person at BillingMart after a month closes. No job pays automatically. See Statements and payouts.
- A code box at sign-up. The code travels only inside your link. There is nothing to type.
- A list of lines for each payout. The portal does not show which lines a payout covered.
- Automatic detection of a workspace you control yourself. Attribution refuses your own sign-in and your own contact email. It does not recognise an alias or a second mailbox. The agreement is what forbids it.
Where to get help
For anything about your partner account, write to partners@billingmart.com. Put your partner id (shown on the Dashboard) in the message. Never include your tax number, bank details or a full API key.
